Officers from the Enid Police Department in Oklahoma responded to a call last Monday after someone reported hearing a voice calling for help in the distance.
Bodycam footage of the event shows the officers rushing towards the desperate cries, but when they got there it didn't turn out to be quite the emergency they expected.
In the end, what really did sound like a desperate call for help turned out to be a lonely goat missing his friend.
The farmer said he'll put the goat up so it won't cause further distress to concerned citizens, because obviously the police officers and neighbor who reported the goat were legitimately worried.
The Enid Police Department posted the video on Facebook with the caption,
Sometimes a call can really get your goat.
Yesterday, Officer David Sneed and Officer Neal Storey responded to a report of someone heard yelling for help. Upon arriving, the officers began walking toward the faint sound of someone yelling. As they got closer, Officer Sneed could hear a distinct yell for "help."
Running toward the sound, the two soon discovered their damsel in distress was a very upset goat, who the farmer explained, had been separated from one of his friends.
Thank you, gentlemen. Your swift actions (although in the end not necessary) are appreciated by us all.
All in all, you really can't say it was that baaad of a call.
