"Our members enjoy it": Netflix stands up to the cancel mob, defends Dave Chappelle's standup special

Comedian Dave Chappelle is already showing us how to stand up to the cancel mob as he shrugs off outrage surrounding his latest Netflix special, one in which he leveled significant criticism at LGBT totalitolerance.

Incredibly, Netflix itself is offering no apologies about the content and is defending its decision to run the special!

"Several of you have also asked where we draw the line on hate. We don't allow titles Netflix that are designed to incite hate or violence, and we don't believe The Closer crosses that line. I recognize, however, that distinguishing between commentary and harm is hard, especially with stand-up comedy which exists to push boundaries. Some people find the art of stand-up to be mean-spirited but our members enjoy it, and it's an important part of our content offering."

Everyone who has followed the cancel culture zeitgeist for years is having the same response to this:

Seriously. Corporate leaders are usually the first ones to concede to the woke mobs. And Netflix has historically been woker-than-thou. The fact that they're basically telling their critics to shut up and relax (for now, at least) is kind of a big deal. This sort of thing doesn't happen very often.

Has Chappelle launched a turning point in the woke culture wars? We'll see!
