Let me share this actual quote from Nancy Pelosi on Tuesday and then we can break it down. Make sure you keep a bucket next to you in case you feel the sudden need to hurl:
"When that assault was taking place on the Capitol, 3,865 people in our country died of the coronavirus, many of them people of color because of the injustice of it all. The next day, on Thursday, 4,000 people died of the coronavirus. Why? Because decisions were made at the highest level, months before in the Oval Office, of denial, distortion, delay, calling it a 'hoax.'
I thought it was going to be an epiphany for those who were in opposition of our democracy to see the light. Instead, it was an epiphany for the world to see that there are people in our country, led by this President, for the moment, who have chosen their whiteness over democracy. That's what this is about."
Overall, what we see here is yet another attempt to paint Donald Trump as a vicious racist and all his supporters as members of the Ku Klux Clan. A few observations:
First, Pelosi makes sure we know that these evil white people (while ignoring all the black, Hispanic, and Asian Trump supporters), with all their whiteness doing white things, are directly connected to COVID deaths.
She mentions nearly 4,000 people dying of the virus in an attempt to blame her political foes for people's deaths. It's funny, I don't remember Pelosi condemning the months of race-riots across the nation where people were sweating all over each other in large crowds as they burned down car lots and raided Walmarts.
Like other Leftists in recent months, Pelosi also conveniently left out that we see around 8,000 people die every day in the U.S. Rona or no Rona, that anyone who tests positive for COVID in any capacity whatsoever is labelled a Rona death (falling off ladders and car accidents included!), and that the vast majority of people dying are still the elderly and sickly.
She also conveniently leaves out the fact that the current death toll was generally the same before and after the riot last week in D.C. Oops.
That was probably a mistake... it's not like she's trying to paint half the nation as murderers, right??
Then Pelosi sinks her teeth in to those 75 million Trump voters, saying she hopes they would have "seen the light." I assume she means the light of the Constitution and the Declaration as she sets them (and maybe the Bible for good measure) on fire in the name of Woke social justice and communistic "equity."
Instead of appealing to these individuals – to the tens of millions of Trump voters (including historic numbers of minorities/BIPOC/insert name here), and the tens of millions of other conservatives besides – Pelosi turns her attention to the world, saying it was an "epiphany" for them to see how backward and embarrassing and stupid America is.
Of course, since there are billions of people around the world – from nearly every ethnic group and faith – who would disagree with 99% of Pelosi's far-left policies, I assume the audience she is really addressing are other global elites like Chinese dictator Xi Jinping and Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
After this, Pelosi comes to her main point:
"There are people in our country, led by this President, for the moment, who have chosen their whiteness over democracy. That's what this is about."
Did you catch it? This is all about "whiteness." If you thought it was about saving liberty and the Republic, you were wrong. If you thought the tension in this country is being caused by deepening philosophical and cultural divides over man's nature, history, morality, and destiny, you were wrong.
If you thought our primary problems were fatherlessness, abortion, materialism, sexualization of everything, and the indoctrination of children with ideologies of subjective reality, you are wrong. If you think the real threat to America in the 21st century is the Chinese police state that's seeking to devour the world, you're wrong.
If you think the problem is politicians profiting by pitting us against each other, then you're wrong. How dare you think such things!!
The problem is WHITENESS. That's what it's all about. Just ask Nancy.
Let's be clear here: the riot last Wednesday was inane, embarrassing, and ineffectual. It solved no problem and only gave justification to despotic people who are loving each new opportunity to gain more power.
At the same time, what Pelosi is doing here is stoking the flames of division in the exact same way that she accuses the president of doing. The difference is, if Pelosi calls for division and people act out her vision with violence, the media and tech companies will sweep it under the rug with gaslighting and algorithms and ban anyone that questions their fAct-cHecKs.
