Okay, this video is from back in February, but it just now made its rounds on Twitter and people are having a fit over it.
I, for one, want to simply dive into this video real quick though because it's amazing.
So it looks like the Hippo at the Delhi Zoo managed to find a way out of its enclosure, and nearly made its way into the park, leaving this security guard with no other option but to pull this outrageously brave move right here:
[Warning: The video is in another language but there's one old-fashioned English F-bomb at the beginning]
Yes, that man just repeatedly slapped a hippo in the face and slowly-but-surely got it to back down into its enclosure.
Pretty gnarly stuff!
Dude oughta put that on his resume: "I slapped a hippo into its place."
Because that's exactly what you're supposed to do in this situation, apparently.
Picture perfect, A-plus, round of applause for this guy!
Great work!
But then โ and we all knew they would come โ there came the Twitter Karens in the comments right on schedule:
Yeah, I'm pretty sure this guy knew what he was doing, so thanks!
Now get a life, hippie!
And stop acting like zoos are evil. Zoos are cool and they help us learn. Animals at the zoo have it made, and I'm sick of the whole "it's basically a prison" nonsense.
Anyhow, real quick before I go, I just want to share one last comment with you because it's got me scratching my head too:
