The Niners were the team to beat in 2024 and everybody knew it. San Francisco's George Kittle is one of the best TEs in the game, and he's known for his silliness on the field, especially when the cameras are in his face, or in this case if the mic is on his chest.

Let's take a look at this play everyone is talking about. It occurred on San Francisco's first drive of the game. They were making it look easy: Four plays and they'd moved the ball from their own 25 to the Chiefs' 30. But then running back Christian McCaffrey coughed up the ball, which would have likely been recovered by one of his teammates if George Kittle hadn't been getting cute for the mic on the play. I'm not saying San Francisco would've won the game had this turnover been avoided, but the silliness definitely allowed for George Karlaftis of the Chiefs to jump on that ball. The Niners had all the momentum and that play just knocked the wind right out of it.

If I'm a Niners fan this play is gonna bother me all offseason. The fumble, obviously, but then the unfocused silliness from Kittle — that's gotta burn.

Man, you wonder what that games looks like if the Niners have a 2nd and 8 there near the red zone.
