Pirates of the Caribbean is relaunching with a total reboot and the comments are priceless

At this point, I can't even hear the words "pirate" or "Caribbean" without thinking of the one and only Jack Sparrow. And when I think of Jack Sparrow, I think Johnny Depp.

Now that Disney producers of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise have announced a total reboot, I, like many others, are simply not having it.

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer spoke to ComicBook.com about the reboot, but no information is currently available regarding the new storyline or potential cast members involved in the project.

We're gonna reboot Pirates, so that is easier to put together because you don't have to wait for certain actors.

In 2022, Bruckheimer told The Sunday Times that Johnny Depp's return to the role was highly unlikely. And last year, Sean Bailey, then-president of Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production, told The New York Times that reviving the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise was a top priority for the company.

We think we have a really good, exciting story that honors the films that have come before but also has something new to say.

Well, it seems as though no one wants to hear it! 😅

Is Disney going to do what Disney does?

Ruin a good thing with a progressive reboot that lacks all the heart and soul we loved from the original while shoving woke identity politics down our throats?
