Remember last month when we drew attention to a purported transgender terrorist cell operating in the U.S. and carrying out targeted killings?
Well, cops on Monday made a major bust in that investigation, nabbing what are reportedly two of its top lieutenants:
The apparent leader of a cultlike group known as the Zizians has been arrested in Maryland along with another member of the group, Maryland State Police said Monday.
Jack Lasota, 34, was arrested Sunday along with Michelle Zajko, 33, of Media, Pennsylvania. They face multiple charges including trespassing, obstructing and hindering and possession of a handgun in the vehicle.
You may have seen the disturbing photos (including at the top of this report) of a dead-looking individual grimacing into the camera. That's "Michelle Zajko," who reportedly pretended to be deceased when his mugshot was being taken:
Police later took another photograph in which they had apparently convinced him to look (somewhat) more normal:
Jack Lasota, meanwhile — who is reportedly the "Ziz" around whom the cult is based — was at least willing to glare menacingly into the camera when his shot was being taken:
(Both of these individuals are men who believe they are women, and as a result most mainstream outlets are referring to them as "she," but of course we don't indulge mental delusions around here, particularly those of purported psychopathic criminals.)
The "Zizians" have been directly linked to the death of David Maland, a border patrol agent who was shot and killed on Jan. 20 during a traffic stop in Coventry, Vermont. Cult members Teresa Youngblut and Ophelia Bauckholt were the reported gunmen in that shooting; Bauckholt was killed while Youngblut was arrested.
The group has a dark history that includes multiple reported killings:
Associated Press interviews and a review of court records and online postings tell the story of how a group of young, highly intelligent computer scientists, most of them in their 20s and 30s, met online, shared anarchist beliefs, and became increasingly violent.
Their goals aren't clear, but online writings span topics from radical veganism and gender identity to artificial intelligence.
It is unsurprising that AP is interested in downplaying the transgender aspect of the death cult, though the San Francisco Chronicle was more honest about it:
[Lasota] apparently used the theory of hemispheres to entice [his] own followers, Salamon said, and 'manipulate a number of smart, mostly autistic-ish transwomen who were extremely vulnerable and isolated.'
The end result of that manipulation, of course, appears to be a dead innocent border patrol agent — and what may be several other murders:
On New Year's Eve of 2022, a couple was shot and killed in their home in Chester Heights, Pennsylvania.
A doorbell camera captured audio and video of a car pulling up to the home of Richard Zajko, 71, and his wife, Rita, 69. A voice shouts 'Mom!' and another voice exclaims, 'Oh my God! Oh, God, God!' according to a Pennsylvania state police affidavit. Police found the couple shot in the head in an upstairs bedroom after they failed to show up to take care of Rita's mother.
Police questioned the couple's [son], Michelle, at [his] home in Vermont, and a few weeks later, took [him] into custody at a Pennsylvania hotel. [He] wasn't arrested or charged with anything. LaSota was at the hotel, too, and was arrested after refusing to cooperate with officers, and charged with obstructing law enforcement and disorderly conduct.
In California in November of 2022, meanwhile, a landlord was viciously attacked and almost killed after he reportedly attempted to evict several cult members living on his property. A trial over the violent incident was due to start this year, but Lind was found with his throat cut last month.
His accused killer, Maximilian Snyder, is in custody in California. And his connection to the larger cult?
Youngblut [one of the alleged shooters in Vermont] applied for a marriage license with Snyder, the man accused of murdering the elderly landlord.
This story is insane and terrifying. And we suspect it'll only get worse. We'll keep you posted.
