Yeah, it was pretty weird to write that headline.
Police in Fairfax County, Virginia, are looking for a man who robbed someone at knifepoint Tuesday — all while three parrots were perched on him.
Authorities said the birdy bandit targeted a customer at the McDonald's in the Seven Corners area around 8 a.m.
The victim told police the suspect flashed a knife and robbed him of an undisclosed amount of money.
Look, I'm not trying to give crooks advice here. I am not a crook (extra Nixon). Crooks: You shouldn't do crime. Give up your life of iniquity and go straight. Please!
But, I'm just saying: If you are a crook, and you're committing a crime, one of the few ironclad principles of your lifestyle is: Do not make yourself recognizable.
You know, like this:
Pretty much the quickest way you can point someone out is by saying, "Oh yeah, that guy over there with the parrots on him." Boom, case closed. There aren't many parrot guys around these days. This dude clearly just walks around everywhere with them on his shoulders and head. Even when committing armed robbery.
Amazingly, though, as of Saturday morning, they are still looking for this guy. Parrots or no parrots, he's apparently really good at evading cops.
Makes you wonder if the parrots are in on this...
