Police make massive bust of "Lego Theft Ring" in Oregon

Time was, we had a proper country, one in which we didn't have to fear this sort of horrific lawlessness and Lego anarchy.

On July 3rd a search warrant was served at the Brick Builders store in Eugene [Oregon] by the Springfield Police Department's (SPD) Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) after a lengthy investigation.

SPD tells us a three-month investigation revealed evidence that the owner of Brick Builders on Willamette, Ammon Henrikson, was knowingly purchasing new, unopened sets of Legos that had been stolen from local retail stores.

Now, before you think, "Gee, all of that for a few stolen Lego bricks?", let me assure you that this haul was bigger than you think.

Look at this:

We love cops here, and we love when they take photos of themselves that look like Hero Shots — even at Lego busts!

The sets represented a huge haul:

During the execution of the search warrant, Springfield Police recovered 4,153 sets of Legos with a total value of over $200,000.

$200,000 in Legos!!!

Not hard to guess where the crooks will end up:
