Another dispiriting sign that the U.S. continues its slide into a hard criminal wasteland:
A Texas mother and daughter duo have been arrested for allegedly running a cross-country illegal butt Botox operation.
Consuelo Dal Bo, 56, and her daughter Isabella Dal Bo, 18, were busted by Houston police on Wednesday during a sting operation.
I know things are getting bad out there. But when criminal leaders are running sophisticated "illegal butt Botox operations," you know we're sliding rapidly into 1930s-style gangland anarchy.
The bust involved "agents from the Houston Police Department's Major Offenders Division, the FDA and Homeland Security Investigations." No joke, this was a major operation.
The pair were nabbed by police after a cop posed as a butt-injection customer:
An undercover officer posed as a client to meet the two women at a temporary residence on Eastern Meadowlark Way in Conroe. Texas, on Wednesday, reported KTRK. The mother and daughter had reportedly came straight from the airport after conducting business in California.
Police said the women tried to give the undercover cop Xanax to relax before the injections.
Big props to that officer for doing his job, but you gotta wonder what it feels like to bust your hump for years to make detective only to be told you've been assigned to the "illegal butt injection" file!
The two alleged perps were led out of their property in handcuffs:
Note that this isn't just a matter of regulation; the illicit injections are legitimately dangerous:
The injectable silicone oil (breaks) off into smaller particles throughout the body, possibly causing permanent damage and life-threatening complications such as stroke, embolism and even death.
Let that be a lesson to you, kids: A life of illegal butt-injection crime never pays!
