Polish racing fans rent cranes to bypass COVID-19 restrictions

This is the type of sports story that 2020 needs.

In America, where our most beloved leagues are competing to see who can fulfill the maxim of "Go Woke, Go Broke" the fastest, it's endearing to see a story of fans finding creative ways to be a part of the sports they love.

If you're like me, you're probably a bit tired of the digital strategies being employed to connect fans to the game. Take Fox Sports, which is trying to make empty stadiums less eerie by superimposing people in the stands... thereby making it 10 times creepier.

Or take Japan's attempt to cheer on their players with dancing robots sourced straight from my nightmares:

In Poland, stadiums are still selling tickets, but they are limited to 25% capacity. Like Zacchaeus climbing a tree, a few die-hard fans of racing team Motor Lubin used 21 cranes to lift themselves above the track. This is what true dedication and resolve looks like.

They are an inspiration to us all.
