America, we are so back!
The latest polls are in from Emerson College and, guess what? It looks like America is happy with what they voted for.
He won the popular vote, and now Trump has most of all voters thinking the country is heading out of the doldrums into a new era of American greatness.
'President Trump's 49% job approval rating closely reflects his share of national support in the 2024 election, and his 41% disapproval is the lowest it has been in Emerson national polls dating back to his first term,' Spencer Kimball, executive director of Emerson College Polling, said. 'All age groups have a net approval of Trump, including voters under 30 (46%-38%), except those over 70, who narrowly disapprove (49%-48%)'
Compare that with the 1 in 5 who were satisfied with Biden's job at the end of his term.
And, with the country as divided as it is, half the country will just never admit that they think Trump is doing a good job. The roots of TDS reach deep.
However, he has topped the halfway mark when it comes to American optimism, which is something worth celebrating.
A majority of voters (52%) think the United States is headed in the right direction, while 48% think it is on the wrong track. This is a significant shift from earlier this month when 67% said the country was on the wrong track and 33% in the right direction.
What a difference less than two weeks can make!
