In the great Star Trek epic First Contact, a time-traveling Captain Jean-Luc Picard expressed polite envy over a 21st century resident standing on the cusp of galactic space travel and "taking these first steps into a new frontier."
But I don't think he was referring to this:
Issues with the toilet on board SpaceX's Crew Dragon capsule will leave a group of four astronauts without a bathroom option during their hours-long trip back home from the International Space Station aboard the 13-foot-wide capsule this month.
Instead, the crew will have to rely on "undergarments," Steve Stich, NASA's Commercial Crew Program manager, told reporters Friday night.
Okay, um, just to be clear, when they say "undergarments," they mean... diapers, right? It's just diapers.
Look... this is apparently the second toilet-related issue on the Crew Dragon in as many months.
Elon Musk is doing great work but he needs to get his toilets in order. Thats non-negotiable for a successful space program.
