Report: Trans activist's organization sent thousands of texts falsely telling Pennsylvanians they had already voted
· Nov 2, 2024 · NottheBee.com

I dunno, a "mistake" like this just a few days out from the election feels like it might could be, you know...not an accident?

Thousands of Pennsylvania voters received a text message this weekend that falsely claimed that they had already voted in the Nov. 5 election.

'Records show you voted,' the text read, linking them to an official Pennsylvania website with information about polling places and early voting.

That feeling when you haven't voted and you get a text saying, "You voted:"

Ahh, but you see, it wasn't nefarious, it was just an, um, administrative error or something:

AllVote spokesperson Charlotte Clymer told CNN the organization estimates 'several thousand registered voters were affected by our error' - referring to the text messages received by Pennsylvania voters over the weekend.

The texts, Clymer said, were an 'unfortunate copy-editing error by staff working long hours," and the organization has made its 'approval process substantially more rigorous to ensure this doesn't happen again.'

Hmm, "Charlotte Clymer." Trying to think where I heard that name before. Hmm.

Oh, yeah!

Ahh, yes, the man who used to go by "Charles" but who just up-and-switched to "Charlotte" one day:

Don't worry, though, the voting group is misleading voters in other states, too:

The controversy in the Keystone State comes just a few days after the Wisconsin Election Commission criticized AllVote over another misleading text message campaign. The group previously sent thousands of Wisconsin voters text messages that had a link to the wrong election website, leading to complaints to the commission.

It's either rank incompetence or nefarious voter disruption. Which do you think?
