The dweebs who walked out of Jerry Seinfeld's commencement speech missed some life-changing advice
· May 13, 2024 · NottheBee.com

On Sunday, a few dozen protesters stormed out of the commencement ceremony at Duke because they disagreed with Jerry Seinfeld and his support for Israel (not a joke, it really happened).

While they tried to make a scene, the comedian ignored the haters and losers, and delivered what is one of the better commencement speeches I've ever heard.

Here's a primer:

I have the full speech for you, along with my favorite quote from the comedy GOAT.

Some of the bits were really good, particularly his comments about passion versus fascination and how to put in good effort.

(That comment about the doomed Titanic sub tho 😭)

At one point, the best part of the speech in my opinion, Jerry takes on the idea of apologizing for your privilege.

Privilege is a word that has taken quite a beating lately. Privilege today seems to be the worst thing you can have. I would like to take a moment to defend it.

Again, a lot of you are thinking, I can't believe they invited this guy. Too late. I say, use your privilege! I grew up a Jewish boy from New York. That is a privilege if you want to be a comedian ...

You went to Duke. That is an unbelievable privilege. I now have an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters degree from Duke University, and if I can figure out a way to use that, I will. I haven't figured anything out yet. I think it's pretty much as useful in real life as this outfit I'm wearing.

This is the good stuff. The kind of stuff this generation really needs to hear, especially those losers who are shouting "queers for Palestine" without any understanding of the irony.

While the media wanted to showcase the protesters, most of the crowd was very supportive of Seinfeld.

Honestly, comedians rarely give good commencement speeches. But Jerry knocked it out of the park!
