The candy company, Candy Funhouse, is searching for a "Chief Candy Officer" who will be in charge of tasting products and determining which candies the company will carry. Oh, and they'll get $100,000 a year to do it.
According to the job listing, the Chief Candy Officer's responsibilities would include:
- Taste test 3500+ products on a monthly basis
- Become the head taste tester
- Approve candy inventory and reward spotlight treats the official "CCO (Chief Candy Officer) Stamp of Approval"
And more!
But honestly, I can't get past that first duty... who could possibly survive just one month of eating 3500 candy items?
Let alone a full year!
Even if it's just one bite of each, that's 3500 bites of candy! That's 112 bites of candy per day.
If you do get this job, please do not blame me if you go the way of Augustus Gloop...
It's really quite inevitable.
No previous experience is required for the job, and the listing says that "having an interest in candy" is a bonus. I would think so! Honestly, that should be a minimum requirement.
It's also open to anyone over the age of 5, so child labor is ok now I guess. Although I'm really not sure if you could consider this job to be "labor."
I guess someone's gotta do it.
The job listing adds at the bottom,
…and yes, the position does come with an extensive dental plan!
At least they're self-aware.
