Joe Biden is tired of hearing you complain about his brilliant leadership.
There's an episode of the BBC adaptation of the classic Horatio Hornblower book series where British officers during the Napoleonic Wars find themselves serving under a crazed captain who orders the ship into the cannon fire of a Spanish fort before running the ship aground on rocks.
As the cannons tear the ship apart, the captain points his pistols at his officers, screaming about delusions of mutiny and insisting that the ship is his to do as he pleases.
Faced with the imminent death of the entire crew and the loss of a ship of the line to enemy hands, the officers finally rebel against the captain and manage to save the ship at the last moment.
Like the captain, only a crazy person would look at the state of our country – the stock market in shambles, gas and inflation through the roof, the border a crisis zone, crime surging everywhere – and think our leadership has put us in anything but in the most dire of circumstances.
But Joe Biden doesn't want to hear about it.
