"Remarkable improvement": Buffalo Bills share a positive update on Damar Hamlin
· Jan 5, 2023 · NottheBee.com

Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin suffered a severe cardiac event in the first quarter of Monday Night Football. He received life-saving CPR on the field before being taken to the hospital where he has been in critical condition for the last 3 days.

Today, the Buffalo Bills gave an encouraging update on Damar:

He's nowhere close to out of the woods yet, but reports are showing that he is making slow and steady progress.

A real encouragement for his family, friends, teammates, and NFL fans.

Here, ESPN's Ian Rappaport provides a more detailed update:

...He opened his eyes last night. Which had to be an incredible moment considering all that he has been through, all that the family has been through, all the people close to him have been through. Just hearing and seeing him open his eyes, amazing.

He has been responsive, which is also extremely positive. Neurologically intact, is how the Bills refer to him, and he's also been gripping the hands of those close to him in the hospital. A sign for them that he acknowledges them, recognizes that they are there and are meaningful to them.

Put that all together, and it's really hard to imagine coming out with better news than this.

Thank God for the medical experts around Damar.

I am sure Hamlin and his family would continue to welcome your prayers at this time, as there is still a long road ahead.
