According to an Axios report, Trump is busy strategically plotting his return to Twitter, the social media platform that helped rocket him to the presidency on the back of Mean Tweets™ in the 2016 campaign.
Twitter has always been Trump's favorite social app until he was unceremoniously kicked off in the aftermath of the January 6th, 2021 Capitol riot. However, since Elon's purchase of Twitter, Trump's account has been online and unused for months now.
Trump is now on Truth Social, a social media company he has a large stake in and hasn't returned to Twitter primarily because everyone knows it'll tank Truth Social completely.
Elon's sweet siren song may prove too tempting for Trump; however, Trump's financial stake in Truth is throwing up roadblocks.
If Trump rejoins Twitter, he could be subject to an agreement that has required him to post on Truth Social first, and at least six hours before posting on another platform, according to a regulatory filing from Digital World Acquisition Group.
