California has effectively ceased to try and roll back its pervasive and devastating crime wave. So we shouldn't be surprised to see more and more citizens taking action like this:
A gutsy 69-year-old woman was dragged by a robber's car after she refused to let the thief drive off with her Gucci shades.
The lady was sitting in her car on her phone when the thief snuck up to the passenger side and stole the purse. Getting out of her car, she "chased after and confronted the robber, but as she reached into the car, the robber drove off, dragging her along."
Her "Gucci shades" in this case were actually expensive prescription glasses. She needs them to see, she said, and did not want the scumbag thief to get away with them.
She was dragged "a short distance" before falling off of the car; she was subsequently treated at a local hospital for her injuries. In spite of the traumatic incident, the victim is satisfied with what she did:
"I'm p***** off because this guy was looking for somebody, and I feel violated," she said. "I feel violated, but I feel good because I put (up) a fight," she said to KTVU.
