Florida governor and presumed 2024 hopeful Ron DeSantis just released a statement shortly after former President Trump was indicted by a Manhattan grand jury, calling the indictment a "weaponization of the legal system to advance a political agenda" and saying that Florida, Trump's home state, "will not assist in an extradition request":
"Florida will not assist in an extradition request given the questionable circumstances at issue with this Soros-backed Manhattan prosecutor and his political agenda."
