San Fran is now literally paying people TO NOT SHOOT EACH OTHER
· Sep 2, 2021 · NottheBee.com

These people really do not understand human nature or law enforcement, do they?

Yes, this is a real thing that's happening. Cracking down on crime? That's racist.

Paying gangbangers $300 a month not to spray bullets at each other? Progress!

A new program in San Francisco will pay people at high risk of shooting someone not to pull the trigger to help alleviate rising gun violence in the city.

The Dream Keeper Fellowship is set to launch in October and pay 10 individuals $300 each month to not be involved in shootings, Sheryl Davis, executive director of the Human Rights Commission, told Newsweek in an interview Tuesday.

That's nice. Violent men are known to respond to politically-correct programs that think government bureaucracy can erase human ambition and sin.

Davis explained that the program is not "transactional," but will rather focus on making investments in communities most impacted by violence.

"It's not necessarily as cut and dry as folks may think. It's not as transactional as, 'Here's a few dollars so that you don't do something bad,' but it really is about how you help us improve public safety in the neighborhood," she said.

Yes, I'm sure people who are at "high risk of shooting someone" really care about making the world a better place.

Participants will be paired with life coaches from the city's Street Violence Intervention Program and will be considered "community ambassadors" who work to prevent violence. They will work on their professional, personal, and community development and will be thought of as "partners" in engaging community members and decreasing violence.

"As you become better, your community benefits from that," she said.

The program aims to get to the "root causes" of violence, "which in so many ways are economic," according to Davis.

Ah, there it is! It's all about systemic oppression and inequity!

The woke have no idea how reality works. They have no idea how the human heart works. They think that if you simply throw cash at a problem, people will be less evil, whether it's in Iran or SoCal.

The underlying problem facing crime-ridden neighborhoods isn't poverty. It's the vices of the human heart, the destruction of the family and our moral fabric, and the spineless attitudes of authorities who won't step up to predators on their streets.

So call me a skeptic.

At least it seems to have helped in the smaller neighboring town of Richmond. You know, for now.

The program is based on a similar program in neighboring Richmond, California, which helped reduce gun homicide in the city by 55 percent, according to a 2019 study by the American Journal of Public Health.

I look forward to seeing what happens when the government no longer has the money to keep murderers in line!
