This Durham Public School librarian has maxed out her woke jewelry collection, completing her look with "Gender Queer" earrings and all the LGBTQ+ pins you can think of to complement her lanyard.
The worst part of having this person around your kids, though, is that she dedicates her time to celebrating and promoting a carefully curated selection of banned, explicit educational literature.
Tara Gold's TikTok page has several videos promoting one of her "favorite weeks of the year," happening right now from Sept. 22-28, called "Banned Books Week," and she highlights the book Gender Queer.
If you haven't yet heard of this book, Gender Queer is a graphic memoir that describes the author's journey through adolescence, self-discovery, and ultimately landing on being nonbinary.
It's also been called obscene, pornographic, and "likely illegal."
The book is laid out like a comic book, colorful and all, but the author claims she originally wrote it for her parents and for "older teens who were already asking these questions about themselves."
Still, this book ended up in school libraries, and the largest teachers' union in the nation even included it in their recommended summer reading list.
The book is so explicit that Nebraska Democrats couldn't handle Republicans sharing images from the book.
Basically, almost everyone can see this is child porn.
Child porn is highly illegal (and obviously should not be in our schools), but for some reason, Tara over here is still pushing this book on kids.
Other banned titles she is celebrating and promoting are:
All Boys Aren't Blue
This Book is Gay
Flamer
Let's Talk About It
American Library Association
I'm just warning you that this is the type of person around your kids.
Yet another reason to homeschool!
