Yeah, I completely thought this was CGI at first, but that Twitter account is pretty dedicated to actual science videos and the smoke-ring expert, has a bunch of similar wizardry on his Instagram.
Basically, the low-high pressure dynamic here is demonstrating an important principle that explains one aspect of why weather systems act like they do or why planes can fly (wings are curved on top so air has to flow faster, thus lowering the pressure and letting the higher pressure on the bottom push the aircraft up).
I gotta say, Mithrandir would be proud!
