You guys remember the 2014 Slender Man stabber, Morgan Geyser, from Wisconsin?
Well, she's a guy now, so, naturally, months after making this life-altering decision, she's been let off early.
30 years early!
Not joking.
This attack, which luckily wasn't fatal, happened 10 years ago, so let's refresh. All three girls here were twelve at the time, and they'd walked out into the woods in Waukesha to "play hide-and-seek" before the stabbing.
In 2014, Geyser stabbed Payton Leutner across her arms, legs and torso, hitting major arteries and severing her diaphragm. Geyser did this while [Anissa] Weier egged her on…Geyser and Weier … ordered Leutner [to] lay down while they got help, leaving her for dead before the girl was found by a cyclist.
The girls claimed they were motivated by the fictional Slender Man, sparking a moral panic over potential copycat attacks as the character swept the internet.
Both Geyser and Weier told detectives they felt they had to kill Leutner to become Slender Man's 'proxies,' or servants, and that the character would kill their families if they didn't follow through.
19 times.
That's how many times Geyser stabbed Leutner, for which she was sentenced to serve 40 years at the Winnebago Mental Health Institute in Oshkosh. She had apparently been suffering from schizophrenia, psychosis, PTSD, anxiety, and autism. She also claims to have been sexually abused by her father, who died in 2023.
But Geyser won't be spending 40 years in the facility. After a decade, she'll only be there for another 60 days.
A judge has granted the supervised release of Slender Man stabber Morgan Geyser in a dramatic decision that goes against the wishes of the victim's family …
The teen defendant, now 22, has been held in a psychiatric facility for years, but today a judge granted her release with conditions.
The victim's family is devastated by this news.
What's more, this comes about seven months after Geyser officially identified as male. It seems the court thinks this new fantasy has made her more sane, not less.
On the tenth anniversary of the attack, Geyser told doctors that she no longer identified as female, the court psychologist revealed today.
'On May 31 of 2024, the ten-year anniversary of the index offense, Ms. Geyser indicated to her treatment staff that she identifies as a transgender male,' Dr. Brooke Lundbohm said, before clarifying that she was using female pronouns for Geyser 'to be consistent with the collateral records.'
'In her treatment records, she's now identified with male pronouns and a separate name,' Lundbohm continued.
She also said that Geyser now uses a breast binder.
(Her mental health is fine now, guys. Don't start asking questions. She'll be back living among the general public and you best not say anything negative about it.)
You just can't make this stuff up!
