Ah, yes, ol' fascist Disney. The company that has incessantly woke-ified every intellectual property it could get its hands on over the last couple of decades - so much so that South Park made a viral parody of Disney using a "pander stone" to make every beloved franchise woke.
As reported by Variety:
Oscar Isaac told Variety in late August before the world premiere of 'Frankenstein' at the Venice Film Festival that he was more than open to returning as Poe Dameron in a future 'Star Wars' movie. Isaac played the dashing X-wing fighter pilot in three 'Star Wars" films from 2015 to 2019. But returning to the Disney-owned franchise got a little more complicated for Isaac just a few weeks later, when Disney-owned ABC pulled Jimmy Kimmel off the air over comments he made about the shooting death of Charlie Kirk.
In a newly published interview with GQ, Isaac used a question about potentially returning to Star Wars to express his displeasure with how Disney handled the Kimmel situation:
Yeah. I mean, I'd be open to it, although right now I'm not so open to working with Disney. But if they can kinda figure it out and, you know, not succumb to fascism, that would be great.
Let's remember that Kimmel (he of the ratings-challenged late-night talk show) was pulled from the air because he not only falsely claimed that a MAGA person killed Charlie Kirk, but also refused to correct his statement and prepared to double down on it.
His wife then went on a podcast and discussed how her husband - a comedian, mind you - is fighting the president of the United States.
Someone let Dollar Store Han Solo know that he's not needed.
And Disney? It might be too late, but please stop pandering to woke. You'll never be woke enough.
