Oh great and mighty fact checkers who alone rule over what is real and just and true... please grant me passage as I tell the lowly people about this academic study that you might deem to be misinformation!
OK, with my customary prostration to Big Tech complete, let me tell you guys about this study from the fringe institution known as George Washington University:
New research from George Washington University has determined that treating COVID patients with aspirin reduced the risk of severe illness by nearly half.
The report noted that an aspirin regimen in more than 400 COVID-19 patients in hospitals across the United States cut the need for ventilation by 44%, slashed ICU admission by 43%, and reduced overall in-hospital mortality rates by 47%.
This seems pretty important. You have to wonder why abundantly-available medicine like aspirin wasn't thoroughly studied over the last 18 months to see if it might help the millions of people who have died from this thing.
I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that aspirin is super, super cheap and wouldn't make Big Pharma any money.
Anyway, moving on lest I upset Jack Dorsey and Mark Zuckerberg...
Let's get to one of the scientists from the study:
Dr. Jonathan Chow, one of the study's researchers, said, "As we learned about the connection between blood clots and COVID-19, we knew that aspirin — used to prevent stroke and heart attack — could be important for COVID-19 patients. Our research found an association between low-dose aspirin and decreased severity of COVID-19 and death."
Another journal confirmed this conclusion this month with a study from the University of Minnesota and Basel University in Switzerland.
Well, if you need me, I'll be waiting to hear from Dr. Fauci on why aspirin is actually extremely dangerous and for the CDC to ban aspirin for the sake of pUbLiC hEaLtH!
