After getting caught cozying up to (and possibly sleeping with) a Chinese spy, Swalwell blames — you guessed it — Donald Trump!
· Dec 9, 2020 · NottheBee.com

Yesterday news broke from Axios that California Representative Eric Swalwell was closely involved with a spy, Christine Fang, from China who fundraised for his campaign and planted an intern in his office.

Today, in a Politico interview, instead of answering any questions about the depths of his involvement with the suspected spy, Swalwell used the opportunity to do his favorite thing and lash out against Donald Trump.

Really. This was his response.

"I've been a critic of the president. I've spoken out against him. I was on both committees that worked to impeach him," Swalwell said in an interview on Tuesday. "The timing feels like that should be looked at."

Swalwell added: "What it appears though that this person — as the story reports — was unsuccessful in whatever they were trying to do. But if intelligence officials are trying to weaponize someone's cooperation, they are essentially seeking to do what this person was not able to do, which is to try and discredit someone."

There you have it, according to Eric Swalwell the REAL story here is that the media is reporting at all on his dalliance with a Chinese spy. And Axios, which is not exactly a pro-Trump news site, is in cahoots with the Trump White House to undermine Swalwell's credibility. But, as we know, Swalwell is not always forthcoming and will often try to shift the blame when he makes a mistake.

When Swalwell accuses Axios of being in league with the Trump administration

Oh, and...

According to Politico Swalwell REFUSED TO DISCUSS HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH FANG!

He won't even discuss it. He has been accused of and asked about a possible romantic relationship with Fang and has also refused to answer any questions related to that. This is a pertinent question given the fact that Swalwell sits on the House Intelligence Committee and the fact that becoming romantically involved with her targets was allegedly one of Fang's strategies for spying on American politicians.

Also, according to Swalwell himself, Nancy Pelosi was fully aware of this situation before Swalwell was placed on the Intelligence Committee. However, Republican congressmen told the New York Post that they were not made aware of the relationship between Swalwell and Fang. Republicans are also demanding to know if what Swalwell says is true, that Pelosi was aware of the potential blackmail risk of a compromised Swalwell, and if so why he is allowed his seat on the Intelligence Committee.

Something smells about this story...
