A North Carolina man had a rough start to his day when he crashed his shiny new car into a pair of deer on his way work. That'd be enough to ruin anyone's day, but things turned around for him rather quickly.
Anthony Dowe said the accident wrecked his day so bad that he just turned around and went back to bed instead of going to work. But after a little sleep, he felt a lot better... mostly because he literally woke up to discover he won the lottery.
"Then I woke up and checked my tickets. I checked the fourth ticket and I saw the ‘4' and then the next number and the next number and the next number. I'm like, ‘Wow!' It was just crazy."
His Mega Millions ticket landed him a a nice $2 million prize, which ended up being about $1.4 million after taxes. Not a bad way to end the day.
