On Monday, journalist Taylor Lorenz shared a story about The New York Times's coverage of the Israel-Hamas war and explicitly stated that the newspaper only allows right-wing opinions to be showcased in its publication.
The piece Lorenz shared blasts the Gray Lady as alt-right for condemning antisemitism and Hamas while noting "the left-wing tilt of higher education is not only wrong but dangerous."
We here at Not The Bee have covered many of these right-wing moments at The New York Times, such as the instance where The Times lamented the lack of "kink" in The Little Mermaid remake.
There was also the story where the NYT promoted the traditionally conservative value of polyamorous sexual relationships.
The alt-right paper is also known for it's very conservative headline about elections being bad for democracy.
Throughout Biden's term as president, the newspaper has been a fierce critic of the liberal politician, throwing fiery right-wing critiques where it says a nation can exist just fine with a braindead commander-in-chief.
Top on the list of right-wing demands, of course, is racial equity in equestrian helmets.
The New York Times has also voiced the very right-wing position that smaller people are better for the environment.
The newspaper also had very loud support for affirmative action policies, which everyone knows is a central tenet of conservative ideology.
And, in case you still had any doubts, consider the wildly far-right piece the NYT published asking readers to laugh about abortion.
Back over to Taylor Lorenz, the journalist who championed crackdowns on misinformation:
That's right.
She was harassed.
As a quick aside, for no particular reason at all, Lorenz doxxed the anonymous woman behind Libs of TikTok and showed up at her door. In fact, harassing this woman was arguably the incident that made her a household name among conservatives.
Plus, Lorenz argues (in line with the author of the article she shared), it's right-wing to say the "wokes" are taking over college campuses.
To provide evidence for her statement, I've included this chart from The Harvard Crimson that shows how EXTREMELY far-right the staff there have become.
Keep up the good work, Taylor. I look forward to your reporting on the far-right leadership of CNN!
