A Utah teenager, who goes by the "fish bandit," is facing charges after being arrested for allegedly taping fish to ATMs, bathroom stalls, and even a police cruiser.

The 17-year-old has been documenting his fishy business on Instagram since August 2023 and was arrested at the end of December.

His Instagram page has over 75.5k followers with a bio that reads, "Live, Laugh, tape fish on ATMs ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿง No fish were harmed in the process," and his videos have received well over 10 MILLION views.

One of those videos captioned, "We're going international," seems to have been recorded at an ATM in Japan.

Oh, those poor fishies! ๐Ÿ˜ญ

The fish appear frozen, but it just seems like a waste of perfectly good food!

But it is kinda funny, isn't it...

The fish bandit taped fish around Provo and Orem, Utah, at least 14 times, but only two of those cases were serious enough to press charges. He was referred to juvenile court for two misdemeanor counts of causing property damage.

Police are uncertain about the teen's motive and where he got the fish.

They believe this was all done as a joke, and they've stated that fish pranks caused minimal damage.

That's it... That's the story.
