Texas woman stole an Uber driver's car and wallet because they were "driving too slow"

Okay, let me start by saying this lady sounds nuts.

Neusha Alexandra Afkami, 27, was arrested for allegedly (we have to say that for legal purposes) stealing an Uber driver's car and wallet to drive herself to the airport and pick up a few things from the airport store.

I guess she was in a hurry to catch a flight, and the Uber driver was simply "driving too slow" for her, according to court documents obtained by Fox 7 Austin.

The incident happened just before 12:30 a.m. on Sunday when the Uber picked up Neusha from a hotel to take her to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

The drive took too long for Neusha, and she got visibly upset about it. So, she grabbed the driver's phone, threw it out the window, then told the driver to stop the car and go get his phone.

While the driver was out of the car, Neusha took the wheel and drove off in the 2016 Chevrolet Cruz, leaving the Uber driver stranded on the side of the road.

According to the arrest report, during questioning, Neusha claimed that she and the driver were arguing about how long the drive would take. She told the Uber driver, "I need to get to the airport, so I'm going to take your car and drop it off at Southwest Airlines."

What she didn't mention to the driver was that she was also going to steal their wallet and go on a little pre-flight shopping spree totaling almost $130.

Police were notified and found the abandoned car in front of a terminal at the airport. They apprehended Neusha before she boarded the plane and found the driver's card on her, as well as the pre-flight goodies she bought with the stolen card.

She now faces charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and has been detained at the Travis County Jail on a $16,000 bond.
