Isabel Vaughan-Spruce was arrested in December of 2022 for praying silently outside an abortion clinic in its "buffer zone" where the UK does not allow protests.

So they arrested her for her thoughts, just like Orwell's thought crime.

She was acquitted of those charges.

Now just two weeks later, she's been arrested for silently praying again. Just listen to the reasoning of the police here:

How does he know her intent? How does he know what she's praying in her mind?

This is utterly crazy.

And the MPs are voting today on whether praying silently should be illegal too, so she won't get off next time.

Those must be some powerful prayers to make everyone so afraid of a lady standing silently on the street.
