The celebs who say you’re killing the planet with your minivan are using private jets at a record pace

Remember how fossil fuels are bad, and we need to massively reduce our carbon footprint to save the planet or we'll all be dead in 5, 10, 12, or 20 years?

Welp, the same celebs who have lectured us ceaselessly for years about the climate are using private jets at a record pace because of COVID.

"We initially lost a lot of business due to cancellations but ended up booking more than twice as many flights in 2020," said the head of one charter company, Paramount Business Jets.

Studios are using private jets for everything, whether it's flying an actor to another country, flying an assistant to see family, or transporting COVID test samples.

"If a studio is making a star or makeup artist get to a certain place that requires air travel and the person wants to go, the financier-producer will make whatever accommodation they feel is appropriate. Then it becomes a negotiation," said well known agent Larry Thompson.

Studios are also looking to purchase their own private terminals and clubs in airports so they don't have to mingle with disease-riddled commoners.

Note that this report is only looking at a few charter companies, and isn't even discussing the full spectrum of athletes, singers, or other public personalities that own or frequently use jets.

This historic use in private jets is being coupled this month with an open letter that over 200 celebs signed to Joe Biden, demanding that he shut down the Dakota Access Pipeline to sAvE tHe pLaNeT.

Among these were plenty who frequently use private jets, including "Leonardo DiCaprio, Scarlett Johansson, Ryan Reynolds, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Jason Momoa, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Joaquin Phoenix, Jane Fonda, Cher, Chelsea Handler, and Amy Schumer."

"Shutting down the Dakota Access Pipeline would result in the loss of 3,000 direct upstream jobs, 4,900 indirect jobs, and 7,400 lost jobs due to the lack of money coming into the region," said Fox. "The report finds that North Dakota and Montana would lose out on $912 million in taxes."

Others on this list have been frequently criticized for jet-setting all over the world, even taking private planes across oceans to accept environmental awards.

Stunts like these, it seems, are more likely to increase due to Coronasanity.

I have no issue with anyone using a private jet, but I do take issue with being lectured about my family's carbon footprint when I see vastly wealthy individuals using more energy in two hours than I do in two years.

These are the people that would make you feel guilty for throwing away a plastic bag while they wine and dine 30,000 feet overhead.

Remember: Hollywood‘s virtue signaling and comfort is more important than either logic or your finances!
