It's almost easy to forget that the 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting — the deadliest in U.S. history, with dozens upon dozens of victims dead — ever happened.

That's because we never talk about it. Perhaps more importantly, the nation's top law enforcement and investigative authorities never figured out (or never revealed) why it happened.

And that's insane. Because even the surface-level details of the case are absolutely nuts.

Call me crazy, but...I have a hard time believing the FBI found absolutely nothing to establish any kind of motive.

We need to be talking more about this. And we need answers.
