Remind me to never get on an airplane ever, ever, ever again, would ya?

I guess that kind of explains whatever happened here:

Yeah, so Fox News dug into this story since there have been a bunch of problems with airlines lately. And as part of their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion plan (what we aptly call D.I.E. around these parts), the FAA wants to hire people with severe mental illnesses.

Because "diversity is our strength" or some such nonsense.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is actively recruiting workers who suffer "severe intellectual" disabilities, psychiatric problems and other mental and physical conditions under a diversity and inclusion hiring initiative spelled out on the agency's website.

"Targeted disabilities are those disabilities that the Federal government, as a matter of policy, has identified for special emphasis in recruitment and hiring," the FAA's website states. "They include hearing, vision, missing extremities, partial paralysis, complete paralysis, epilepsy, severe intellectual disability, psychiatric disability and dwarfism."

You know, we really need some blind and deaf intellectually challenged pilots and air traffic controllers to strengthen our transportation system.

And if they're psychiatrically disabled or a little person, that's a bonus!

Oh, and The Babylon Bee totally nailed this a year and a half ago:

I would say it's a prophecy fulfilled, but this plan was implemented in March 2022, 7 months before The Bee article. Which ALSO means they've probably already started hiring only the most qualified mental defectives to work at the FAA.

Now, I'm not saying people with disabilities can't do some jobs, but the jobs of keeping everyone safe in the air? I just want the most qualified and most competent people in those jobs.

But if you're looking to get hired at the FAA and you're an educated white guy I think I just found a way to get the foot in the door.

And this has been happening with the FAA specifically for two years.

Their policy is to include the severely mentally ill in their employ.

Guys, we're going to have some MAJOR plane crashes soon, aren't we?
