This is extremely bizarre, and, so far, no answers have been provided.
On Sunday morning, three young Marines were found dead inside a car parked at a North Carolina gas station close to Camp Lejeune where they were stationed.
There's no foul play suspected by the cops, but we also haven't heard any word about a possible cause of death yet.
The Marines' bodies were found around 9 a.m. Sunday, July 23 in the parking lot of a gas station. Their identities were released Tuesday.
- • Lance Corporal Tanner J. Kaltenberg, 19, from Madison, Wisconsin
- • Lance Corporal Merax C. Dockery, 23, from Pottawatomie, Oklahoma
- • Lance Corporal Ivan R. Garcia, 23, from Naples, Florida
According to the Marine Corps Times, all three Marines worked in the same area and on the same team.
The men were motor vehicle operators with the Combat Logistics Battalion 2, Combat Logistics Regiment 2 and 2nd Marine Logistics Group at Camp Lejeune, said First Lt. Raymond Fullbright, of the 2nd Marine Logistics Group.
With no foul play suspected, how exactly did all three end up dead together in a parked car?
Officials are waiting for an autopsy report that could come back as soon as today.
