If you think it's racist to say that Vice President Kamala Harris was a DEI hire, then you think it's racist to tell the truth.

Here's President Joe Biden back in the spring admitting that Vice President Harris was, in fact, a diversity hire.

It's not our fault that leftists are now hiring people specifically based on race, gender, and sexual orientation. It's just reality. And people pointing out this reality are not racist. But that's exactly what they'll try to sell you: Republicans are racist for calling Kamala Harris a DEI hire.

Yes, Professor Brian Clardy says the "racist" and "sexist" attacks on Kamala are only just beginning, and that, essentially, Republicans are going to out themselves as the KKK once this is all said and done.

Murray State University historian Brian Clardy doubts the double-barreled bigotry will stop. ‘This is just the beginning,' he said. ‘This is not dog whistling. It's a howitzer shot, and you're going to hear more of this.'

Clardy cited recent comments by Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) that Harris is ‘a DEI vice president' and a ‘DEI hire.' Burchett said President Joe Biden picked her as his running mate because she's a Black woman.

Mr. Clardy, I know you're a professor and you like primary sources, so why don't you scroll back up to that video of Joe Biden explaining his DEI hiring practices.

Moving on.

Clardy, a professor of history, said GOP candidates from Trump and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance, down the ballot, ‘are going to drag the vice president through the mud. They are going to play every single racist and sexist stereotype imaginable.'

‘The Republican Party has become more extreme as the years have gone by. The way they react to women and people of color is abysmal, and you're going to see them in this post-Jan. 6 era show their very worst faces. The hoods and white sheets are going to come off.'

I have a question, Mr. Clardy: Would my white sheets be coming off if I pointed out that Kamala Harris is the descendant of a slave owner who received the modern equivalent of $11 million for his African slaves after slavery was outlawed in Jamaica?

Genealogical research carried out by Northern Irish historian Stephen McCracken reveals Ms Harris's four-times-paternal-great-grandfather Hamilton Brown was born in Co Antrim in 1776, the year of the US Declaration of Independence.

Brown emigrated to Jamaica, then a British colony, and became an enthusiastic slave owner on the sugar plantations that were the mainstay of the island's economy. He opposed the abolition of slavery across the British Empire in 1832.

I'm sure being anti-slavery basically makes me a KKK member, right?
