So this happened:
For comparison, the Oscars had only 9.8 million viewers and the NFL draft had 12.6 million. While the NFL draft has continued to grow in viewership, let me point out that it's the freaking NFL and we are now comparing a horse race to it.
It seems people like to watch sports that take them out of our sociopolitical tensions – games that unite us around teams, traditions, and history – not be preached to by woke branding.
Don't believe me? Well, then believe David and "Crook"!
Here's to horse racing making a comeback in the 21st century!
What a time to be alive.
