If you're going to invite kinky drag-queen Jesus in a thong along with drag nuns in the order of "Perpetual Indulgence," why not include the Islamic prophet Mohammed in drag as well?
After all, CNN has told me the Christians are the extremist domestic terrorists, so this seems like a very odd and rather exclusive move by the LA Dodgers.
The story begins with backlash against the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence drag group after the Dodgers invited them to perform for their "Pride Night" on June 16th. Here's the group in question:
[Warning: It's a gay drag show showing "hunky" Jesus, so be warned]
Seems family-friendly and not at all offensive to the world's largest faith, no?
People understandably got angry about featuring an explicitly blasphemous and satanic drag queen troupe that parodies nuns and celebrates depravity and debauchery while making fun of the crucifixion of Christ.
The Dodgers eventually uninvited the group. In a sane world, the person who extended the invite should have been fired.
But then the Rainbow Jihad backlash began.
Monday night, the LA Dodgers issued an apology, not to the people who were offended that they would ever consider inviting this group, but to the Sisters drag group and the entire LGBT+ community.
They also reinvited the group to come back for their official pride night in June.
After much thoughtful feedback from our diverse communities, honest conversations within the Los Angeles Dodgers organization and generous discussions with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, the Los Angeles Dodgers would like to offer our sincerest apologies to the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, members of the LGBTQ+ community and their friends and families. We have asked the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to take their place on the field at our 10th annual LGBTQ+ Pride Night on June 16th. We are pleased to share that they have agreed to receive the gratitude of our collective communities for the lifesaving work that they have done tirelessly for decades. In the weeks ahead. we will continue to work with our LGBTQ+ partners to better educate ourselves, find ways to strengthen the ties that bind and use our platform to support all of our fans who make up the diversity of the Dodgers family.
How thoughtless of the Dodgers to think that making fun of Jesus Christ, the Catholic Church, and offending all religious people might be over the line. What's really important is bowing down to the rainbow sex cult.
(Have you figured out what our new national religion is yet?)
Good job insulting the risen Son of God in favor of twerking men in dresses.
