Remember when liberals had at least somewhat of a backbone when it came to illegal aliens freely crossing our southern border?

It matters how you control your borders. Not just for immigration, but it matters for drugs, terror, a whole range of other things.

And here's Obama in 2005:

And as a bonus, Clinton in 1995:

Interesting, huh?

It's like Trump Light. They actually care about the border.

But today, these same men sit idly by as our country is invaded by hoards of illegals. They seem to hold the polar opposite view on illegal immigration, especially Biden with his intervention in Texas. And it seems the Democratic electorate, too, has grown to hold an extremist libertarian view on the border.

So, what happened?

Well, the Orange Man happened.

Seriously, when are regular everyday Democrats going to admit that their entire position on illegal immigration was fundamentally transformed during the Trump years? I mean, just because you still have that virtue-signaling sign up in your yard that says, "No human is illegal" doesn't mean you have to sit there and allow your president — the guy you voted into office because "Orange Man Bad" — to destroy this country with his border policies.

Let's get back to reality here and stop pretending that everything Trump said or did was evil and that we must hold the polar opposite opinion of him no matter what.

I'm not saying we're saints over here on the Right, but get it together, man. Our country will never be the same if this open-border policy continues.
