I say that glibly, but let's get real: The people who write articles in the legacy media are nearly 100% sold out to the ideas of the "intellectual" elite, who are almost all entrenched in an ideology that's a weird mix between secular liberalism, hedonistic pluralism, and socialist revolution.
They've been telling you for a long time that America is bad. America is very bad and very white and therefore very bad. There is no such thing as American exceptionalism, Christian values are evil and must be replaced, and things like the Constitution were built by horrible, racist white men.

Non-Hispanic white people make up 77 percent of the over age 75 population, 67 percent of the age 55-64 population, 55 percent of the 35-44 cohort, and barely half of the 18-24 age group. America's children are only 47 percent non-Hispanic white, according to an analysis released this week by William Frey, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution.

In the decades to come, that wave of diversity will wash across the generations, yielding an America with no single racial group that can claim a numerical majority.
Oh, the feeling of equitable pride that must have welled up in the heart of writer Daniel de Visé when he penned that stirring sentence!
He also wrote this recent gem, lamenting that boys are becoming more conservative in their values in a society that hates them and force-feeds them flaming-rainbow Marxist feminism:

De Visé goes through the data, but I want to point to this little nugget in the middle of his article on our changing demographics:

Consider an American with three grandparents who are non-Hispanic white people, and one who is Black, Hispanic or Asian. Simple math suggests labeling that person as white. But long-standing American tradition might favor a "minority" identity.

But how Americans having less kids (presumably he's focusing on white Americans here) is connected to the idea that we need more "diversity" is beyond me.
See, we say "diversity is our strength."
In one sense, this is true. It requires a massive pool of people with diverse set of skills and knowledge to make anything like a hospital or a nuclear reactor work. Everyone understands that on a team like "Ocean's Eleven," you have a team of operators with unique sets of skills.
But that's not what the wokies mean when they say "diversity." They mean "people who do not look white and do not have Christian values or a foundation of law/philosophy that comes from the continent of Europe."
They like to put these two things together because if someone like me points out that inviting a bunch of hardline Muslims to your neighborhood will produce a theocratic Sharia state instead of the "pluralistic democracy" the wokies want, they can call me a racist.
For America's economic growth to persist, demographers say, the nation needs a steady stream of immigrants. New arrivals, especially from Latin America, keep the nation young. The median age for non-Hispanic white people is 43, according to census data. For Hispanic people, it is 31.
There's no argument here on letting immigrants in.
But there's a huge difference between expanding immigration policies in an orderly fashion, like we did when my great-grandparents on my mother's side came to Ellis Island from German-speaking France before the deluge of WWI, and open borders that allow cartels to traffic children, criminals, and drugs. There's a huge difference between attracting the most hardworking, driven, and smartest most people to America and telling them to flood our borders because we'll give them free stuff.
"Immigration is a good thing for America," said Frey, the Brookings researcher. "You're going to want a country that's growing and robust and has a lot of energy and people who will contribute to Social Security and Medicare. And you can't just count on whites for that."
Yeah, who needs those dirty white people, anyway?
But here's the thing: When the leftist writers in the media realize, come 2045, that they've imported millions of Hispanic Catholics and Muslims with worldviews that are openly hostile to woke Marxism (as opposed to the disinterested Moral Therapeutic Deism that has glazed over most white Americans' eyes these days) - the wokies will likely do an about face in their perpetual revolution and declare that the Hispanics/Muslims are actually "white" and must be "decentered" in order for true justice and equity to be achieved!
