You'll have to forgive the commies at the New York Times. They're clearly still under the impression that we're operating under 2005 rules, as they ran a hit piece on Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth for having the gall to … hold a Christian prayer service at the Pentagon.

The piece, written by John Ismay, leads off with the terrifying revelation that Christians believe that God puts rulers in power.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth led a Christian prayer service in the Pentagon's auditorium on Wednesday morning, during working hours, in which President Trump was praised as a divinely appointed leader.

Ismay, who is obviously unfamiliar with Romans 13:1, then goes on to provide lurid details of Secretary Hegseth's brazen display of Christian faith.

The event, billed as the 'Secretary of Defense Christian Prayer & Worship Service,' was standing room only and ran for about 30 minutes, with Brooks Potteiger, the pastor of Mr. Hegseth's church in Tennessee, as the main speaker.

Mr. Hegseth said he intended that the prayer service become a monthly event.

A monthly event?! Perish the thought!

Hegseth invited his pastor, Brooks Potteiger, to speak at the service. He seemed excited about the NYT's hit piece.

Hegseth himself took to X on Wednesday evening to address the devastating piece of investigative journalism:

Before any lefties even ask, let's collectively say…

Yes, we voted for this.
