Trump's new NIH director Dr. Jay Bhattacharya is wasting no time reforming the corrupt NIH.
As a part of a general phase-out of some animal testing, Trump's appointees have closed the last remaining Fauci-supported and funded beagle lab on the NIH campus.
We all remember the infamous experiments funded by Fauci's NIH that forced beagles to have their faces eaten by sand flies, with their vocal cords cut to take away their ability to cry in pain:
This on-campus lab Bhattacharya just shuttered had conducted experiments that pumped deadly bacteria into the lungs of beagles, forcing them to go into septic shock.
Here is Dr. Bhattacharya talking about the changes:
I got flowers from PETA ... normally I think NIH directors tend to get physical threats, but they sent me flowers.
He also talked about the broad shift in focus he's bringing to the institute:
I want to make the NIH work for the American people instead of focusing on political ideologies like DEI.
A scientific community watchdog praised the move, saying:
Taxpayers and pet owners shouldn't be forced to pay for the NIH's beagle abuse. We applaud the President for cutting this wasteful NIH spending and will keep fighting until we defund all dog labs at home and abroad. The solution is simple: Stop the money. Stop the madness!
De-politicizing the NIH? Ending puppy torture? The wins keep coming!
