The person who blew the lid off US funding for Ukrainian biolabs has some more viral thoughts about why the war is happening
· Jan 30, 2023 · NottheBee.com

I'm not saying everything here is the gospel truth, but what do you believe: That the war in Ukraine is about "democracy," or that it's about power and money?

This "Clandestine" account is run by an anonymous journalist who wrote an exposé on the biolabs in Ukraine last February.

Here's the thing: The mainstream media and its fact-checking pals have rated the claim that there are 46 US-funded bioweapons labs in Ukraine as false.

I'd be more prone to believe them if they hadn't shredded their reputation over the past few years on everything from the Russia collusion hoax with Donald Trump to the censoring of anyone who said anything about a lab leak in Wuhan, China.

Just so we're on equal footing for the following thread, however, I want to be fair and present what the media has to say. From PolitiFact:

When Russia first invaded Ukraine in February, false claims took hold online that Russian President Vladimir Putin was targeting the country over its alleged abundance of U.S.-run biological weapons laboratories. At one point, the claims took on a new twist as some alleged that President Joe Biden's son, Hunter Biden, had funded the supposed labs.

The claim was that the Pentagon released a fact sheet on the US military's involvement in helping Ukraine remove Soviet-era chemical and biological weapons from the country.

Nearly every media outlet from PolitiFact to The Washington Post repeated exactly what the official government narrative was.

Tucker Carlson, Fox News host and leftist boogeyman, had some thoughts on that:

The Washington Post assured us of the same thing, so did countless other so-called news organizations. OK, so no big deal. This is not actually a story. The Pentagon's been doing it since 2005, working with Ukrainians to "eliminate biological weapons left behind by the Soviets." That makes sense, but wait. 2005 was 17 years ago. How long does it take to eliminate Soviet bioweapons? Seventeen years seems like a long time. If you had 17 years and ample funding from Congress, you could probably remove and catalog every grain of sand on Waikiki Beach and yet somehow, over that same period 17 years, the Pentagon has not finished removing test tubes from Soviet-era freezers.

These are good questions.

Questions an honest press would actually ask.

You want us to separate fact from fiction? Then ask dang questions instead of accepting everything the people in power say because they're on your political "team."

The New York Post noted that emails on Hunter Biden's laptop prove there are connections between the elite of the US government and Ukrainian biolabs.

A trove of e-mails on Hunter Biden's infamous laptop — the existence of which was exclusively reported by The Post in October 2020 — found that he played a role in helping a California defense contractor analyze killer diseases and bioweapons in Ukraine.

The laptop that just keeps giving! Good thing that guy wasn't living at home with his dad next to a garage full of classified docs, eh?

This next part is long but important.

...Russia's new claim that the first son's investment fund was involved in raising money for biolab projects in Ukraine was accurate, according to e-mails involving Hunter Biden's dealings in Ukraine, first obtained by The Post and initially reported on by The Daily Mail Friday.

Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners invested $500,000 in the San Francisco pathogen research company Metabiota and raised millions more through firms that included Goldman Sachs, according to the e-mails found on the computer, which was abandoned at a Delaware repair shop in April 2019 as Joe Biden ran for president.

Hunter introduced Metabiota to officials at Burisma, the Ukrainian gas company where he was a board member, for a "science project" involving biolabs in Ukraine, the e-mails show.

A memo from a Metabiota official to the then-vice president's son in 2014 said the company could "assert Ukraine's cultural and economic independence from Russia."

Metabiota vice president Mary Guttieri also wrote to Hunter about geopolitical issues involving the company's research in the former Soviet republic in April 2014, two months after Russia invaded and annexed the Crimea region.

"As promised, I've prepared the attached memo, which provides an overview of Metabiota, our engagement in Ukraine, and how we can potentially leverage our team, networks, and concepts to assert Ukraine's cultural and economic independence from Russia and continued integration into Western society," her memo read.

Days later, Burisma executive Vadym Pozharskyi wrote to Biden about a "as you called ‘Science Ukraine' project."

"As I understand the Metabiota was a subcontract to principal contactor of the DoD B&V [engineering firm Black & Veatch]," his e-mail read. "What kind of partnership Metabiota is looking for in Ukraine?"

Metabiota was then awarded nearly $24 million from the US government in 2014.

All of this is the mere background for this new thread.

Make of it what you will, but there are some interesting tidbits in here for those who understand human nature and history.

The thread ends with this:

WW3 already started. C19 was the first weapon fired.

Because we provide you with thoughtful opinions over here at Not The Bee, I would note that it's not best to obsess over the idea of a powerful cabal that is directing world history for their nefarious schemes. The best-laid plans of the aristocracy have always nearly fallen completely flat (bringing a lot of human suffering with it, nonetheless).

But just because you shouldn't go full Alex Jones doesn't mean that a giant, festering ruling class isn't working loosely together to loot as much power and money as possible.

You can make of the above thread what you will, but it makes one think of some serious questions.

  • Why was the Biden family so invested in Ukrainian business operations for so many years?
  • Why was the Obama administration hyper-focused on the nation?
  • Why is a comedic actor who rose to fame by pretending to play the piano with his penis now the sitting president of Ukraine, with Vanity Fair photoshoots and appearances at Hollywood award shows to boot?

We've been told to follow the money. The Romans invested in the backwater of Israel because it was a vital trade route that they needed to protect between Asia, Africa, and Europe.

The British invested in the hurricane-stricken Caribbean because of its exports of rum, sugar, tobacco, coffee, and other luxury exports. The colonies of the American mainland had far more farmland and natural resources, but these luxury goods were what rich Europeans wanted the most, so it dictated where military power was spent.

The fight for the Caribbean was so intense between the British, French, and Spanish that the British committed entire fleets to the region during the American Revolution. Near the end of the war, the British fleet dispatched to the Caribbean suffered dire consequences when its commanding officer had to return to England for surgery, leaving an inept second-in-command in his stead.

By the time the fleet returned to the American colonies to deal with the revolutionary threat, the French had managed to cut off the British forces in Chesapeake Bay, resulting in a crippling naval defeat for England and the chain of events that ended with General Cornwallis' surrender to George Washington at Yorktown.

And so, history should have us ask: What is it that all the powerful people really want with Ukraine?

If more of us asked that question, we might actually get the answers that we seek.
