For most people, socialism always ends the same: Poverty, misery, starvation, societal collapse, death. For the leaders of the movement, though, it very often ends in greasy fistfuls of cash.
Just ask Bernie Sanders:
The latest round of financial disclosure forms from the Vermont senator, first reported by Business Insider and obtained by Fox News Digital, show $170,000 in royalties last year from Penguin Random House for his book "It's OK to Be Angry About Capitalism."
The royalty amount is only slightly less than the $174,000 salary that Sanders made last year serving Vermont in the U.S. Senate.
Sanders earned a $170,000 royalty from Random House in 2020 as well, which amounts to $340,000 in book royalties.
So socialist Bernie doubled his $174,000 guvmint salary last year by very capitalistically selling a book explaining why he thinks capitalism is evil. You can't make this stuff up.
Bernie made $344K last year. Not bad, comrade.
He's made more than $850,000 in the past 3 years alone, between his salary and book royalties.
Just allow yourself to laugh, folks. If you don't, you'll cry.
