Earlier in the winter, we learned of the Polish woman who was insisting she was long-vanished British toddler Madeleine McCann, and who was demanding a DNA test in order to prove her alleged lineage.
Well, she finally got that test. And the results came back. They're, you know, pretty much what we expected.
A Polish woman who thought she could be Madeleine McCann, a British girl who went missing from a family vacation in Portugal 16 years ago, has received the results of a DNA test showing she is 100% Polish.
"100% Polish," in this case, means "0% British," so there's no chance that she's McCann.
Not that it was ever much of a possibility. This woman always seemed more likely to just be an unwell, disturbed individual, one who may or may not have been subject to considerable amounts of abuse in her own life, and who had latched onto the idea of McCann as some sort of obsession.
Madeleine's parents are still looking for her. And to their great credit, the British police are still keeping up the search as well:
The Metropolitan Police of London told Fox News Digital that they have no new comment on the investigation.
"We continue to support colleagues in Germany with their investigation," the Met Police said.
