There’s Texas … and then there’s Austin

This is sign-tap stuff right here:

The Austin Independent School District (ISD) in Texas encouraged children attend a pride parade known to contain controversial imagery.

"Staff, students and their families are invited to represent Austin ISD in the annual Austin Pride Parade," The Austin ISD wrote on for an event page on its website. "The Austin ISD We are #AISDproud to celebrate our LGBTQIA+ students, staff and families and to highlight our commitment to creating a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for all!"

I guess we're just so far past the point of a school system existing to educate children in basic knowledge, right? I mean that model is, what, forty or fifty years out of date? It's all just pure indoctrination now.

The Austin school district is not only urging families to attend the LGBT+TBA pride events with children in tow, they're offering "free shuttles" and encouraging everyone to wear "Pride costumes and rainbow colors."

It's such a weird wonder such a sea of weird, unsettling rainbow nonsense can exist in the ocean of deep-red conservative values that is Texas.

The Austin Pride event, meanwhile, advertises itself as "[not] holding back." The event is touted as free to children six years old and under.
