This ad agency created a fake funeral home and then put out an ad telling people not to get vaccinated so they could get their business

The Carolina Panthers played a home game on Sunday in Charlotte, and the "Wilmore Funeral Home" decided this was a perfect opportunity to promote their brand.

The "funeral home" drove this truck around downtown Charlotte where many fans were tailgating before the game:

Yup, "Don't get vaccinated," cuz then you'll die and we'll make tons of money off of you and you'll look like an idiot.

Sounds legit.

I'm totally sold on the vaccine now.

Signing up for my appointment as we speak.

By the way, did you notice the building in the background of that photo above?

That's BooneOakley, an ad agency based in Charlotte. They're the ones responsible for creating this fake funeral home and I guess using satire to joke about vaccine-hesitant-people dying of Covid.

Yes, they made up a fake funeral home in order to advertise the vaccine. They really thought this would convince people to get the shot.

True story.

When you visit the fake funeral home's website it gives you this:

Sort of a double down on "you're going to die," but I'll take it.

The more the merrier!

Click "get vaccinated now" on the fake website, and it links you to this page—a local urgent care where you can make an appointment to get the vax.

Very neat, guys!

You got me!

There should be a popup once you get to that page, like:

"If you made it this far you're a complete dummy."

Just an idea...

I'm still surprised someone thought this was a good idea.

Anyways, totally off to get my shot!
