Every day, tens of thousands of illegal immigrants are being released into the country without the slightest background check or medical records, let alone their Covid vax card.
Meanwhile, one American citizen has been waiting over three years for his wife of 15 years to receive her immigration visa.
Kion and his wife have two daughters, and since the birth of their second more than three years ago, they have attempted to move to the States to be closer to family. But his wife, a Japanese native, has been refused a visa because she declined to receive the Covid-19 vaccine.
This requirement only applies to legal immigrants, not to tourists, and certainly not to illegal immigrants (to whom no rules apply.)
Texas Lindsay first reported the story after Kion reached out to her.
After next year, Kion will have to return to the United States when his own Japanese visa expires, while his wife will be forced to stay behind.
Biden's policy is unsurprisingly out of touch with the actual science here. Is the government so slow that they're still stuck in March 2021 or are they keeping the policy this way on purpose?
The bill could actually change the law to help Kion and his family, as well as other U.S. citizens facing similar circumstances, but it's been almost a full year since it was introduced by Rep. Massey.
Unfortunately, laws are slow to change, and in the meantime, bureaucracy can literally tear families like Kion's apart.
